I am lying in bed next to the husband. I touch his arm lightly. I play with his hair. I run my fingertips over his body. I kiss his shoulder and chest lightly as my fingers find their way under his waistband and find their familiar plaything. As I begin to play, he sighs and says those three little words so commonly spoken to me over the last fifteen years...
go to sleep

Wow. That is brutal.
And besides...doesn't he know sex is the best cure for insomnia?!
Rough. I've been there--though it was never so directly put as that.
That's when the vibrator comes out (and husband seems relieved).
Did you ever use it right there in bed next to him, Ms. I? Could he sleep through that?
Oh yeah. All the time. He's sleeping or not. He doesn't mind.
Tom- Believe me, it is brutal at first and now I am numb from it.
Ms. I- My husband purchased my vibrator and when we use it together he loves it. When I go solo, he goes into another room because I am distracting and I keep him awake. I can't win.
I'd love it if my wife pulled out the vibe when I was too tired, or when she was alone, or any time really. It would show she wanted pleasure, that would thrill me. I'm sorry it's painful for you.
At this point, I see it as a fact of my life. Yes, I still feel the stab of rejection, but I know it is not personal, it is just who he is.
Ouch! *hug*
